Shin Lab

The Shin Lab explores neural circuits driving stress-induced psychiatric behaviors, emphasizing eating disorders, social impairments, and the impact of early environments on long-term mental health.

The Shin Lab aims to understand the neural circuit mechanisms underlying stress-induced psychiatric disordered behaviors, particularly focusing on eating disorders and social impairments. The lab seeks to answer such questions as: How does the harsh early environment affect mental health in adulthood? How are unfulfilled needs in early life stored and transduced into behavioral dysfunctions after a long time?
